We hope that you decide to join us at Lyons Davidson.  If you do, some of the benefits that you will receive are:



HOLIDAYS
: You will receive 25 days' holiday upon commencing with the Company. After two years' service your holiday entitlement increases to 27 days. Upon completion of 10 years' service or on promotion to Senior Associate your holiday entitlement will increase to 30 days.  This is in addition to Bank Holidays.



ADDITIONAL DAYS OFF OVER THE CHRISTMAS/FESTIVE PERIOD:
The Company may give you up to an additional day and a half off work a year over the Christmas/Festive period due to office closures (to be taken on specified days) in addition to your holiday entitlement.



BONUS
: We have a bonus scheme open to all eligible employees, which is dependent upon the success of the Company.  Once eligible, you may receive a payment in November (please note the bonus scheme is not guaranteed).  You need to be employed with us for a full financial year in order to qualify for the bonus scheme.



SOCIAL/SOCIAL EVENTS
: We have an active social committee, which is always organising events.  There are many sports teams, for example hockey and football teams, which have regular matches against other companies and firms. The Partners also fund or partially fund many social events during the year, which you are welcome to attend.



FLEXIBLE BENEFITS PACKAGE
: The Company has recently introduced a new flexible benefits platform called 'Your LD- Benefits Hub', which allows you to take advantage of tax efficient benefits via salary sacrifice for pension contributions, childcare vouchers and bikes to work. You can also view your total rewards statement and easily see what other benefits are available through the Company.



PENSION
: After 13 weeks’ employment you are eligible to join the Company’s pension scheme.  The Company will match your contributions up to a maximum of 5% of your salary.  If you join the pension you will benefit from life assurance of 3 times your salary. Please note that you must elect to join the pension scheme to receive this benefit.



CHILDCARE VOUCHERS: Childcare Vouchers are tax and National Insurance free which means you get more value from your pay packet that you can then spend on whatever you like – towards a holiday, treats for the kids or even towards your childcare costs.  You can join the Childcare Voucher scheme from the fourth month of your employment.



BIKES FOR WORK: The Bikes for Work scheme is a brilliant initiative –where you can make big savings on new bikes and pay back the cost each month.  So you save money and get healthier too!  The Bikes for Work initiative is a salary sacrifice scheme which gives you the chance to save on the cost of a new bike (as well as security and safety equipment to go with it), while providing you with the opportunity to cycle on ‘qualifying journeys’ between your home and your workplace.  You can join the Bikes for Work scheme from the fourth month of your employment. 



HEALTH SCREENING THROUGH BUPA: With busy lives and pressurised deadlines our health can take a low priority. But your health and wellbeing are important – not only to you, but also to your family, your friends and to your employer.  A one-off BUPA health assessment, offered at a discounted rate (and payable over 12 months) can provide you with the peace of mind knowing you’re as healthy as you can be.  You can take up the health screening from the fourth month of your employment.



COURSE FUNDING/TRAINING: We have had “Investors in People” accreditation since 1998 and the Partners at Lyons Davidson are keen to promote life long learning within the Company.  We encourage training, both on the job and externally – even if you have already gained all your CPD points.  Course funding has and always will be a key benefit to employees who wish to develop current skills. After 12 months of continuous employment you may apply for assistance with payment of course fees (subject to conditions).



STUDY LEAVE: Upon completion of your probationary period, you may be eligible to qualify for study leave.  This leave entitlement is up to a maximum of 5 days per annum for study leave and up to 5 days per annum for examination leave.



PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP FEES: Lyons Davidson will pay for professional memberships to legal related societies (or other related societies) which benefit the work of the Company and the employee applying.



INCOME PROTECTION: Qualified fee-earning employees (solicitors or equivalent only), who have been with us for at least 2 years, will benefit from income protection should you be off work for 6 months or longer.



BUS/TRAIN SEASON TICKET LOAN: The Company will pay for your annual season ticket so that you are able to spread the cost of your travel over twelve months.  You can apply for a travel loan once you have completed your probationary period.



INTRODUCTION OF NEW EMPLOYEES-RECRUITMENT REWARD: You may be eligible to receive a recruitment reward if you refer a friend or family member who is then employed by the Company and passes their probationary period.



INTRODUCTION OF NEW CLIENT-REFERRAL REWARD: A financial reward may be payable if, as a Lyons Davidson employee, you introduce a client to the Company to deal with their claim or case. This does not apply to Personal Injury claims (terms and conditions apply).  



EXTRAORDINARY ACHIEVEMENT: If you go above and beyond the call of duty and are nominated by a colleague, you may receive a certificate and be awarded a gift voucher for £50. 



LONG SERVICE AWARD: On completion of 10 years service with the Company you are given a £250 reward gift voucher and a certificate to commemorate your commitment to the Company. After 20 years service this award increases to £400!



WEDDING/CIVIL PARTNERSHIP CARD: Should you get married or have a civil partnership ceremony whilst being employed by Lyons Davidson, the Company will give you a gift of either £50 or £100 in vouchers (terms and conditions apply).



EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAMME: The Company provides an Employee Assistance Program, to offer guidance and support to you and your immediate and dependant family.  This includes a confidential care telephone number, an online resource and paid counselling sessions. 



EYE TEST: The Company offers a free eye test (1 every 12 months) plus contribution of £45 + VAT towards the cost of glasses for VDU use.



FLU VACCINATION: During October/November Lyons Davidson arrange for a doctor/nurse to visit all of our offices for you to receive a flu vaccination paid for by the Company. This will protect you against the risk of catching the flu during the winter months. 



HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: The Company provides access to a variety of health and well-being activities including Pilates sessions, on-site physio, massage and other sports and activities. 



FAMILY CONSULTATION: The family department offers a free half an hour consultation with a member of the Case Handling employees in the department. This can be used for general advice on family related areas of law and family related issues that you may have.  



WILLS: We will give a discount when you make a Will; you will receive 20% off for each year of service.



PUBLISHED ARTICLES: You may be eligible to receive a £50 gift voucher reward if you write an article that is published in the legal press.
